Holidaying on the Greek island of Zante

Taking a holiday abroad to the Greek island of Zante or Zakynthos as it is called by the locals, is a wonderful way to experience the laid-back Greek way of life.

The east coast of Zante has an assortment of resorts ranging from the lively resort of Tsilivi with its bars, pubs and clubs to be enjoyed in the evening and water parks that can be enjoyed in the day time and its quieter resorts such as Alykes with its child friendly sloping sandy beaches and an amazing selection of hotels and restaurants which offer both traditional Greek cuisine and English dishes too.

If you want to be able to venture away from the resort you are staying at and explore the island of Zante it is worthwhile hiring either a scooter or quad bike if you are holidaying as a couple or a car if you are transporting your family as this will enable you to not only explore but also experience the diversity of the different regions .

A trip into the mountains is a good idea as you will be able to see the magnificent views on offer and be able to sample some of the local food, at a very reasonable price, at one of the village tavernas all washed done with a cold Mythos.
